              Event Description:


              The Voices of St. Mary Magdalen Christmas Concert will occur as extended preludes to the 11:00 PM Christmas Eve Mass. The choir will be directed by Tommy Guidry and accompanied by accomplished young organist, Julia Boudreaux, and string quartet lead by Anton Zholondz. Music will begin at 10:30 PM. The concert portion will end at 11:00 PM, leading directly into Mass. During the Mass, in addition to Christmas repertoire, the choir will sing the Haydn Missa Brevis (= SHORT Mass) "St. Joannis de Deo." Soloists include, Julia Bourdreax, organ; Johnny Luquette, tenor; Elizabeth Edwards, mezzo-soprano; and Jennifer Cornell Melancon, soprano. All are invited to attend the concert and remain to celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord during the Solemn Mass.
