The Town of Erath and the Twin Parish Port Commission announce the ribbon cutting on newly installed inclusive swing equipment at the Erath City Park. The ribbon cutting will take place on December 10 at 5:30 pm in the park. The Town and Port entered into an agreement to provide the equipment that allows all inclusive access for special-needs children of all abilities. The new equipment includes a whirl and a zip line on jelly bean, artificial base material.
The project is part of a Town/Port effort to add community and economic development projects in the Erath area. In addition to the park project, infrastructure is being added along Highway 14 in Erath to permit retail development. Currently at the Highway 14 site, the Pediatric Group of Acadiana & Erath Family Clinic are completing a permanent office building.
The equipment was installed by Kincade Recreation Company of Livingston, Texas. The company specilizes in playground and special needs equipment. The Vermilion Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to host the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
